Loving Kindness

This week in our yin practice, we invited love and kindness into both body and mind. As we nurture this within ourselves, we gently expand our capacity to share and offer that same tenderness to others.

Take a moment, wherever you are, and repeat this either aloud or silently:

May I be happy
May I be healthy
May I be safe
May I be free from suffering

Pause and notice how these words land within you. There is no right or wrong way to feel - whatever arises is welcome. Meet it without judgment, holding it with love and kindness. Breathe into these sensations, allowing the breath to create space. Let each exhale gently wash away any tightness or tension you may be holding.

Through heart-opening postures, we practiced vulnerability - softening, opening, and allowing whatever surfaced to be seen. We learned to observe these feelings mindfully as they come and go, like clouds passing through the sky.

Someone shared with me this week: “when everything falls away, love is what remains.” When tension, anxiety, sadness, anger, and frustration begin to dissolve, love is still there. When you share this love, it is felt - and returned. Continue to seek out that pure love and invite it into all of your relationships, including the one you hold with yourself.

May all beings everywhere be happy
May all beings be healthy
May all beings be safe
May all beings be free from suffering

 Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu
May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
